男： もしもし、ペットホテルのアルバイトのことで電話していますが。
女： あ、そうですか。
男： どんな仕事ですか。
女： まい朝、ホテルがあく前に、ペットのへやのそうじやじゅんびをしなければなりません。
8時から、おきゃくさんがついたら、ペットの名前とオーナーの電話番号を書いてもらいます。その時に、一番大事なことはおきゃくさんがホテルのルールをちゃんと読んで、サインすることです。
その後、ペットの大きさによって、色々なへやにつれて行きます。動物のえさやおふろやさんぽなどやるひつようがあります。
おきゃくさまからのもんくがあったら、そのもんくを聞いて、それからできるだけていねいに、おきゃくさまをたすけてあげたらいいです。

「パラレル・キャリアParallel career」という新しい働き方について、聞いたことがありますか。それは、ひとつの仕事をしながら、二つ目のキャリアをつくることです。たとえば、月曜から金曜まではお金のために仕事をして、週まつや夜に、自分が本とうにしたい仕事をすることです。本当にしたい仕事は、本を書くこと、音楽家の勉強、ビジネスを始めるためのじゅんびをすること、ボランティア活動かもしれません。その場合は、お金がかせげないかもしれません。みなさんは、パラレル・キャリアについて、どう思いますか。 編集長編集長へ私は今パラレル・キャリアをしていて、毎日がとても楽しいです。十年間べんごしをしていました。きゅうりょうはよかったけど、ストレスが多いので、仕事をやめたくなりました。それで、三年前から週に三日べんごしの仕事をして、週まつはレストランでりょうりをしています。子どもの時からシェフになりたかったから、しあわせです。 田中編集長へパラレル・キャリアはとてもおもしろそうですが、あまり長くつづけられないと思います。私達は一つの仕事をしっかりやらなければなりません。夜や週まつにほかの仕事をしたら、つかれてしまって、つぎの日によく働けないと思います。そうしたら、会社やおきゃくさんがこまるでしょう。それに、ゆめやしゅみのために、今の仕事をやめることは、とてもこわいと思います。それなら一つの仕事をがんばった方がいいです。 大川編集長へ私は小さい会社をけいえいしています。私の会社では、パラレル・キャリアをしている人をかんげいします。毎日働く社員には、ほけんやボーナスなどをはらっていますが、一週間に三日ぐらいしか働かない人には、それをあまりはらわなくてもいいです。それに、パラレル・キャリアをしている人は活気があって、仕事のスピードがはやいし、会社がひつような特べつなスキルを持っている場合があるので、アルバイトの人より、やくに立ちます。 青木
